kittens and existentialism

Salut!

This is the blog for Stanley Stephen of sailor of the soul. I wanted to do this for various reasons.

Here are a few:

  1. To share my thoughts and ideas (hopefully inspiring or intriguing too!)
  2. To keep a polished running writing log of my life
  3. I love kittens

Now that that is covered, here’s what I did today:

Morning: I woke at 6am (by jumping out of bed!) I got this idea from Pick The Brain. It really worked. I did my morning ritual, brushed teeth then showered. I made myself some oatmeal around 630. By 7am I decided to get outside for some exercise, yet also to see the sun rise. I walked around for a little then I came across a church. There was an orange cat sitting there. He was so adorable, he kept meowing and I followed him for some time. I wanted him! After that I walked some more (East). I was headed towards Front St. to get a clear view of the sun. I eventually made it and it was so beautiful. There were planes arriving to the Philadelphia Airport. It looked so nice. I walked back, stopping at a gas station for a coffee. Au lait of course. When I got back to my apartment it was 850am. It really did lift my spirits. I don’t remember what time but I read the remainder of Chapter 4 of Camus’ A Happy Death (you don’t find books, they find you). I decided I needed a break after that so I made some bread pizzas with whole wheat toast and the remaining mozarella cheese. Thank god! Then I believe I surfed the internet. That can get rather dull. Around 11am I went back to the book and finished it (Chapter 5). I loved it, really inspiring.

Afternoon-Early Evening: I had work at 230p-630p. It was an alright shift. I definitely think I am making strides with my confidence and communication. One thing I definitely need to work on is my ability to stand up for myself.

Evening: Here I am writing this post. I’ll probably eat some garbanzo beans and fall asleep at a reasonable hour.
